Louise Brown (owner and Practitioner)

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience, a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser and member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Trust and Estate Practitioner with the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners.

This makes me (I think!) the only Practitioner in the Witney area possessing all three qualifications.

Most people understand what a Chartered Accountant is but are perhaps less familiar with my other qualifications.

The Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification is the highest level of qualification in tax in the UK. Whilst there are over 100,000 Chartered Accountants in the UK there are only about 15,000 CTA’s. CTA’s have to abide by a strict code of professional responsibilities and ethics and have to complete at least 90 hours of continuing professional development in tax every year to retain membership. This gives assurance to clients that their adviser is up to date with our ever changing tax legislation.

Being a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioner’s gives me additional knowledge in the administration, accounting and taxation of Trusts & Estates. My particular interest in this field is Estate planning and Inheritance Tax.

Jessica (Head of Security and Reception Service)

Jessica is a Cyprus poodle rescued and adopted via Love Cyprus Dog Rescue.

Jessica’s tax training is not up to speed yet but she takes care of security and reception at our office very well. She’s also available for cuddle therapy and some clients visit more often than they need ...just to see her!
